TVLand canceled one of the best shows on its network, IMPASTOR
Impastor centered on Buddy Dobbs (Michael Rosenbaum), a slacker with gambling debt as he tries to escape his old life by assuming the identity of a gay pastor and relocating to a small town to serve as pastor. With the new identity, he thought he could escape his old life, but he was wrong. Not only did Buddy have secrets but the town he tries to escape to does as well.
This show had intrigue, comedy, heart and mystery all rolled into one. There is not another show like it on the air today. Each episode left you wanting more and it had a huge fan following. Michael Rosenbaum shined in the starring role. It was as if the character was written for him. Chris Vane headed the writing team, who were exceptional.
Fans of the show are outraged at TVLand’s abrupt canceling of this gem. TVLand led to the detriment of the show by not adequately promoting it. They did not do enough to get the word out on how wonderful it really was. Fans of this show need to gather together and let TVLand know how devastated and disappointed we are over its abrupt cancellation. Not even affording the fans with an appropriate conclusion to the cliffhanger ending.
Please sign this petition to urge TVLand to retract its decision to cancel this ground breaking show. This show was the beginning of the networks evolution into more risqué and thoughtful programming. By losing this treasure from their lineup we are doomed to a future of canned laughter and politically correct entertainment.
If they do not reverse their decision we as fans should protest by boycotting the viewing of this network. #boycottTVLand
